Mahzooz makes two millionaires in one draw!

12 May 2021, Dubai, UAE: Two lucky participants saw their dreams come true in the 24th weekly live Mahzooz draw. Syam, 47, and Sultan, 30, became the sixth and seventh Mahzooz millionaires of the year by matching five out of six numbers and taking home AED 1,000,000 each. Syam, an Indian expat who has lived in Oman for the past 18 years, has participated with Mahzooz from day one but this is his first time getting lucky.

“I’ve never won before and I’ve had weeks where none of my numbers came out,” said Syam. “I wasn’t able to watch the draw show this weekend, so I was surprised when I got an email saying I won. Then I saw the figure and I couldn’t believe it; I went on YouTube, watched the draw and confirmed the numbers.”And the first thing Syam did following that?

“I called my wife. My family is back in India and it was late so my call woke her up. She thought I was joking,” reminisced Syam. As a long-time expat, these winnings will go a long way in helping Syam, his family and many others.

“I want to buy land and build a home for my family back in Kerala. We can start planning our future now,” said the Keralite. “Additionally, I want to give some of this money to help people in need.”

Above all else, Syam is thankful for the luck that has come his way.

“Thank you to Mahzooz for changing my life and making my dreams come true.”

For Sultan, an Emirati national, calling this win a shock would be an understatement.

“I got an email saying I won and I just couldn’t believe it,” said Sultan. “I was in shock. I don’t think it felt real until I got the call from Mahzooz in the morning – only then did I truly believe this is happening. It really feels great!”

Sultan, a frequent Mahzooz participant, is excited to put his winnings to use and help his family.

“I’ve been trying to make plans for the money but the first thing I’ll do is take care of any loans either my family or I have,” said Sultan. “After that, we’ll see. I haven’t fully figured it out yet.”

Sultan is an avid kite surfer, both in the UAE and abroad, and sees a bright future ahead for himself and his family.

“I would like to thank Mahzooz for this opportunity, I will continue participating, and for anyone else participating I say: good luck and keep on trying.”

For those who missed out on last week’s live draw, entrants can participate in Mahzooz by registering via www.mahzooz.ae and purchasing a bottle of water. Each bottle of water purchased (for AED 35) provides eligibility for one line in the draw and the donation is channelled through Mahzooz’s community partners to hydrate those in need.

The next draw will be held as scheduled on Saturday 15 May 2021 at 9:00pm UAE time. Mahzooz is inclusive to all who are eligible.
